A few weeks ago Lynx took the stage to apologise for Prince Harry’s naked action published in The Sun (alongside a long and tiresome justification of press rights yahdeyahdeyahda)…

One doubts whether Kate’s perfume Illuminum will step up to the mark this time as it emerges that topless photographs of the Duchess of Cambridge will be published in a French magazine this week. And inevitably it’s already trending on Twitter:
@mrevgenylebedev Utter disgrace that a mid-market French rag has invaded Kate #Middleton’s privacy like this. Gutter press morality.
@Mumbler3 BBC News seems to be using its ‘someone important’s died’ voice for the Kate Middleton story.
@Janey_uk I don’t believe it! Kate Middleton is a woman and has breasts!! Thanks for clearing that up for us, you poisonous peeping-tom paps!
Topped up with the innocent link to a picture of Kate wearing a Tunga in Malaysia…
@jambufloyd Kate Middleton is a perfect example of a lady.
A lady, it would seem, with all the relevant parts.
To be honest, I think by now Mrs William must’ve realised that sunbathing topless as the Duchess of Cambridge is probably not the wisest idea, but it must be hard being a Royal, always on show even when on holiday with your husband in France. A Royal source stated “This is disappointing, saddening and turns the clock back 15 years. We have always maintained the position that the Duke and Duchess deserve their privacy, not least when they are on holiday in their own swimming pool.” I couldn’t agree more. I for one wouldn’t be able to stick it out – I definitely wouldn’t have come off lightly from last weekend’s hilarious skinny dip in the river with friends (at a spot we finally noticed was overlooked by a falcon viewing point!).
Personally, I think everyone should have a giggle, an eye-roll, a joke and pipe down. The public love both Kate and Harry, perhaps even more so for knowing that, despite being Royalty, they’re still human with human bits.
